Multiple components can be detached to reveal the atria, ventricles, and heart valves. The left atrial appendage, along with the pulmonary artery, can be lifted off to expose the underlying atrium. The left ventricle can be opened for inspection, while the right ventricle and atrium are accessible by removing a valve formed by the right atrial appendage and myocardium. This design highlights the cross-sectioned heart muscle and coronary blood vessels with remarkable detail. The heart muscle, fatty tissue, arteries, and veins are meticulously hand-painted for accuracy. Constructed from durable, unbreakable plastic, the model is securely yet removably attached to a stand for display.
