This model shows the process of fetal development from the unfertilized ovum to the 9th month of gestation.
The model consists of five parts. The first shows the developmental stages: ovulation; fertilization, zygote formation, and uterine implantation that take place in the ovary, fallopian tube, and uterus. The other parts show the fetus at 2 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks, and 9 months of development.
