This life-sized infant model is designed for lumbar puncture training, positioned on a firm board in a realistic side-lying posture with the head bent forward, knees drawn to the abdomen, hands clasping the knees, and the back arched backward to simulate the ideal lumbar puncture position. It features accurate bony landmarks, including palpable spinous process gaps and prominent posterior superior iliac spines. The puncture site is set at the L3-L4 interspace, offering a lifelike tactile experience with a strong needle breakthrough sensation and simulated cerebrospinal fluid outflow upon correct puncture. The model includes a spare spinal canal for extended use, making it an excellent tool for medical training.
